Carla Fried has covered personal finance for more than 20 years, including 13 years at Money, where she wrote dozens of cover stories on investing and personal finance. She was managing editor of the Quicken.com personal finance website from 1998 to 2001, where she developed online tools (Mutual Fund Evaluator, Retirement Planner, Stock Screener) and managed a staff of ten journalists who wrote for the site's Stock, Funds, Retirement and Small Business sections. Her writing also has appeared in The New York Times, Kiplinger's Personal Finance and other publications.
